When your firm signs up or books a call we collect names, work email addresses, firm name, and billing details. We use this to provision your tenant, provide support, and invoice your subscription.

MatterOrbit is built, operated, and supported by Micronetbd Inc., 4 AAA Drive, Suite 205, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619, United States ("Micronetbd," "we," "us"). Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to [email protected].
When your firm signs up or books a call we collect names, work email addresses, firm name, and billing details. We use this to provision your tenant, provide support, and invoice your subscription.
To run the sync, MatterOrbit stores OAuth tokens and API credentials for the systems you connect (Filevine, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox). Credentials are held in a per-tenant vault encrypted with AES-256 and are used only to perform the sync you configure. We never see or store your account passwords.
MatterOrbit transfers your documents between the systems you connect. Files move through secure, short-lived staging and are not retained by MatterOrbit after a transfer completes. We keep file metadata (names, paths, sizes, hashes, timestamps) in your tenant's sync state so we can detect changes, resolve conflicts, and prove what happened.
Every sync event is written to an audit log for your firm. We also collect standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) when you use our websites, to keep the service secure and improve it.
We use the information above solely to provide, secure, support, and bill the MatterOrbit service: running your configured sync, detecting and resolving conflicts, producing your audit trail, responding to support requests, and communicating service updates. We do not sell your data. We do not use the contents of your documents for advertising, profiling, or training artificial intelligence models.
MatterOrbit exchanges data with the platforms you connect, under your authorization: Filevine (via the Filevine v2 API), Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive (via Microsoft Graph), and Dropbox (via the Dropbox API). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Our infrastructure runs on DigitalOcean data centers in the United States. We share data with these providers only as needed to operate the service.
All data moves over TLS. Credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256 in a per-tenant vault. Documents pass through short-lived staging during transfer and are not kept afterward; your firm keeps ownership of its storage at all times. Sync state and audit logs are retained for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted. When your firm leaves MatterOrbit, you can request deletion of your tenant data at any time.
You can disconnect a storage provider at any time from your MatterOrbit dashboard or by revoking the app's access inside that provider (for example, removing MatterOrbit from your Dropbox account's connected apps). You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing [email protected]. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as the EU, UK, or California), we will honor requests consistent with applicable law.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be communicated to account holders. The corporate privacy policy of Micronetbd Inc. is available at micronetbd.org/privacy-policy.
