Filevine in the center, your storage in orbit

Filevine is the hub. MatterOrbit keeps it in two-way sync with the destinations firms ask for most: SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, and Google Drive. Same conflict rules, same audit trail, on every connector.

Listed in the Filevine marketplace

MatterOrbit is a certified Filevine integration, listed in the Filevine marketplace and built on Filevine’s official partner API. Filevine stays your system of record while every matter stays mirrored, both directions, in the storage your firm already uses.

How the Filevine integration works →
The hub

Filevine

MatterOrbit connects through Filevine’s official partner API (v2) as a certified integration listed in the Filevine marketplace, with its own Client App ID and dedicated, elevated rate limits, not a firm’s own API key. Filevine stays your system of record. MatterOrbit is the bridge that finally makes the documents move both ways.

Destinations

Four connectors, all two-way

One connector is bundled in every plan. Add another, or the full set, as add-ons. We also build custom connectors on request.

Lead connector

SharePoint

The destination most firms ask for first, and the first connector MatterOrbit shipped. Mirror matter documents into SharePoint document libraries and folders, both directions.

  • Documents, folders, and folder structure sync both ways
  • Maps Filevine projects to SharePoint sites and libraries
  • Connects via Microsoft Graph and Azure AD per-tenant consent

Microsoft 365

OneDrive

Keep individual and shared OneDrive folders aligned with Filevine projects. A natural fit for firms standardized on Microsoft 365 alongside, or instead of, SharePoint.

  • Personal and shared OneDrive folders sync both ways
  • Same five conflict strategies and full audit trail
  • Microsoft Graph with least-privilege scopes

Cross-platform

Dropbox

Bidirectional sync with Dropbox folders, for firms and co-counsel who live in Dropbox. The same conflict rules, loop prevention, and audit trail apply with no exceptions.

  • Team and shared Dropbox folders sync both ways
  • Loop prevention via sync-source metadata tagging
  • Smart rename inside Filevine's 250-character path limit

Google Workspace

Google Drive

Two-way sync with Google Drive and Shared Drives, for firms and co-counsel standardized on Google Workspace. The same conflict rules, loop prevention, and audit trail as every other connector.

  • My Drive and Shared Drive folders sync both ways
  • Same five conflict strategies and full audit trail
  • Connects via the Google Drive API with least-privilege scopes

On the roadmap

iManage and more, for Enterprise

We build additional custom connectors on request, including iManage, NetDocuments, Box, and network shares. If your firm runs a document system not listed here, tell us and we will scope it. iManage is planned at the Enterprise tier.

One connector bundled. Add the rest any time.

Start with SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, or Google Drive. Layer in the others, or a custom connector, whenever your firm is ready.
